BEGINNERS AND NOVICES
These lessons/experiences are suitable for complete beginners or folks who have only fly fished once or twice before. They are designed for 1 to 4 people*, minimum age 12, under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (adult does not have to fish). Customers have a choice of locations, Spring Hill Trout Waters near Tunbridge Wells and Chequertree Fishery, Bethersden, both in Kent. Lakedown Trout Fishery, Burwash in East Sussex and Coltsford Mill Trout Fishery, Oxted in Surrey. Other venues available on request. Prices include professional tuition, all equipment hire and fishing permits. Coaches are certified and fully insured.

2 HOUR FLY FISHING EXPERIENCE
For beginners the 2 hour lesson gives a taste of the fly fishing experience. You will learn the following skills:
- safety while fly fishing
- about the rod, reel and end tackle
- basic fly casting
- how to retrieve the fly
- what to do when a fish takes and how to land it
- two caught fish per person may be taken home

Landing a Springhill Rainbow Trout
4 HOUR FLY FISHING INTRODUCTION
For beginners and novices. In the 4 hour lesson you will learn additional skills to the 2 hour lesson and have more time to fish:
- safety while fly fishing
- about the rod, reel and end tackle
- overhead casting
- how to search out the fish
- basic fly selection
- how to retrieve the fly
- what to do when a fish takes and how to land it
- two caught fish per person may be taken home

8 HOUR FLY FISHING COURSE
The 8 hour lesson is our most comprehensive for beginners and novices. As well as more fishing time it includes additional casting skills and knowledge sharing, such as shooting line and basic knots. Four fish may be taken home. Several breaks will be included as fly fishing can be very tiring (lunch is not included although catering is available at additional cost):

- how to search out the fish
- basic fly selection
- basic knots
- how to retrieve the fly
