WHO ELSE WILL BE AT THE LESSON?
Just you and your party. Special Offer lessons may differ but the offer will make it clear.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Waterproof clothing, hat, sunglasses preferably polarised, sturdy footwear or wellingtons, something to eat and drink.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
The confirmation email will include directions and details of where to meet.
ARE THE LESSONS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?
Minimum age is 12 years, may vary in special offers. Under 18s must be accompanied by the parent or guardian (adult does not have to fish). Maximum party size is reduced to 2 when all participants are under 18.
Fly fishing is an inclusive sport but please call before booking if a member of the party has special requirements.
Spring Hill is not suitable for people with mobility problems or wheelchair users, please call as alternate venues may be.
DO I NEED A FISHING PERMIT OR LICENSE?
Your permit to fish is included in the price however you must possess a government licence to fish. Under 13s are exempt, 13-16 year olds must have a licence but they are free, 17 and overs licences are available from £6 at the Post Office or here https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence
CAN I TAKE A FISH HOME?
Yes, you can take home rainbow or brown trout. Two fish are included in the price of 2 and 4 hour lessons, four fish are included in the price of the 8 hour lessons. An additional payment to the fishery will be required if you wished to take more.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Tuition, tackle hire and fishing permit. Coaches are fully insured.

WHAT IF I WANT TO BOOK FOR MORE THAN 2 UNDER 18S?
Please call and I can arrange additional coaches. We only advise teaching under 18s at a ratio of 1 coach to 2 students.
WILL I GET MY PREFERRED DATE AND START TIME?
In the majority of cases you will get the date and start time requested, although occasionally the fishery may be booked and we will agree an alternate schedule convenient for you. Some special offers may have pre-booked start times which will be advertised on this website.
DO ACCOMPANYING PARENTS/GUARDIANS HAVE TO FISH?
No, they do not have to fish if they don't want to.
